Terms of Service

1. Agreement to These Terms

These Terms of Service govern your access to and use of Rewind World, including the website, account system, dashboard, community features, virtual world features, virtual currency, virtual items, shop pages, VIP subscriptions, forums or chat features, Discord-related community access, and any related services offered by Nguyen's Games, Rewind World, or the Rewind World team.

By creating an account, accessing the website, purchasing digital content, joining the community, or using any Rewind World service, you agree to these Terms and to any additional rules or policies posted by Rewind World. If you do not agree, do not create an account or use the service.

If you are using Rewind World on behalf of a company, team, organization, or other entity, you represent that you have authority to bind that entity to these Terms.

2. Eligibility and 18+ Requirement

Rewind World is intended only for users who are 18 years of age or older. By creating an account or using the service, you represent that you are at least 18 years old and legally able to enter into these Terms.

You may not create an account, access account features, participate in the community, or use Rewind World if you are under 18. We may deny registration, restrict access, suspend, or terminate any account if we believe the user is underage, provided false information, or is otherwise ineligible.

Rewind World is not directed to children. If we learn that an ineligible minor created an account or provided personal information, we may close the account and delete or restrict the information as appropriate, subject to legal, security, fraud prevention, payment, and moderation needs.

3. Account Registration and Security

You may need an account to use certain Rewind World features. You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information when creating or updating your account, including your username, email address, date of birth, and any other required account details.

You are responsible for keeping your login credentials confidential. You may not share, sell, rent, transfer, or allow another person to use your account. You are responsible for activity under your account unless the activity was caused by a security failure on our side.

You agree to notify us immediately if you believe your account has been compromised or accessed without permission. We may require verification before making account changes, restoring access, or responding to certain support requests.

4. Development Status and No Launch Guarantee

Rewind World is in development. Features may be experimental, incomplete, unavailable, delayed, changed, reset, removed, or redesigned. Access to early systems, private testing, beta features, dashboards, accounts, virtual items, or community tools does not guarantee launch access, permanent access, final features, final pricing, final item values, or a specific release date.

We may wipe, rebalance, modify, restore, or remove development data if needed for testing, fraud prevention, economy protection, bug fixes, technical changes, or the long-term health of the project.

Any roadmap, preview, screenshot, prototype, concept art, feature description, or development statement is provided for planning and communication purposes only and is not a binding promise.

5. Community Rules and User Conduct

Rewind World is intended to be a calmer, safer, nostalgia-driven social space. You agree to treat others with respect and follow all community rules, moderation decisions, account rules, and posted guidelines.

You may not harass, threaten, stalk, dox, exploit, scam, defraud, impersonate, spam, abuse support systems, disrupt the service, attempt to bypass moderation, or engage in behavior that harms users, staff, volunteers, developers, the community, or the project.

You may not upload, post, send, display, create, or share content that is illegal, hateful, sexually exploitative, non-consensual, abusive, violent, defamatory, invasive of privacy, malicious, infringing, or otherwise harmful.

You may not use Rewind World to distribute malware, phishing attempts, credential theft, exploits, cheats, automation tools, scraping tools, unauthorized bots, or anything designed to damage, overload, reverse engineer, or interfere with the service.

6. User Content and License

Rewind World may allow users to create, upload, submit, display, or transmit usernames, profile text, messages, room names, room layouts, missions, item listings, feedback, reports, images, designs, and other content.

You retain ownership of content you legally own, but you grant Rewind World, Nguyen's Games, and our service providers a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, sublicensable, transferable license to host, store, reproduce, modify, adapt, display, distribute, moderate, remove, and use your content as needed to operate, improve, secure, promote, and provide the service.

You are responsible for the content you submit. You must have all rights needed to submit the content and grant the license described above. You may not submit content that infringes another person's copyright, trademark, privacy rights, publicity rights, trade secrets, or other rights.

We may remove or restrict user content at any time if we believe it violates these Terms, community rules, intellectual property rights, safety standards, legal requirements, or the intended direction of Rewind World.

7. Intellectual Property

Rewind World, including its name, branding, website design, artwork, visual style, game systems, characters, avatars, virtual items, interfaces, text, code, music, sounds, databases, documentation, and other materials, is owned by or licensed to Nguyen's Games, Rewind World, or applicable rights holders.

You may not copy, reproduce, scrape, sell, resell, redistribute, modify, reverse engineer, exploit, or create derivative works from Rewind World materials except as expressly allowed by the service or by written permission.

Rewind World is intended to be an original project. Users may not upload or submit content copied from other games, brands, shows, movies, platforms, creators, or intellectual property owners unless they have the legal right to do so.

8. Virtual Currency, Tapes, Tokens, VIP, and Digital Items

Rewind World may include virtual currency, including Tapes and Tokens, along with VIP benefits, collectibles, cosmetics, room decor, wearables, packages, account benefits, progression rewards, and other digital content.

Tapes, Tokens, VIP benefits, virtual items, collectibles, cosmetics, room decor, and other digital content are licensed for use inside Rewind World. They are not real money, do not have cash value, are not stored value, are not bank deposits, are not securities, are not investments, and may not be redeemed for money.

You do not own virtual currency or virtual items as personal property. You receive a limited, revocable, non-transferable license to use them within Rewind World according to these Terms and the rules of the service.

We may modify, rebalance, restrict, remove, rename, reclassify, or discontinue virtual currency, virtual items, item effects, item availability, VIP benefits, or shop offerings where necessary for legal compliance, fraud prevention, technical reasons, economy health, moderation, safety, or project direction.

9. Limited Releases and Collectible Rules

Rewind World may offer limited releases, monthly collectibles, first-run items, event rewards, early supporter items, limited-time packages, account-limited items, quantity-limited items, and other special releases.

If an item is presented as a true limited release, the exact item should not return in the exact same form after the release window ends, unless a clear exception is stated before purchase or release. Future items may share a theme, but they should have new names, new visuals, new release marks, and their own place in the timeline.

Limited items are designed to feel memorable, but we do not guarantee market value, resale value, trading value, rarity value, future demand, or permanent availability of any item, feature, marketplace, trade system, or economy system.

10. Purchases, Refunds, Chargebacks, and Negative Balances

Rewind World may offer purchases such as Tokens, VIP subscriptions, limited-time packages, cosmetics, collectibles, room decor, or other digital content. Prices, package contents, availability, benefits, and renewal terms may change over time.

Unless required by law or clearly stated at the time of purchase, digital purchases are generally final once delivered, used, consumed, opened, bundled, traded, gifted, applied to an account, or otherwise made available.

If a refund is granted, we may remove the related Tokens, Tapes, items, VIP time, benefits, account access, package contents, or anything obtained from the refunded purchase. If the refunded content was traded, sold, gifted, consumed, or used, we may reverse related transactions, remove substitute value, or apply a negative balance.

Chargebacks, payment reversals, disputed payments, fraudulent purchases, unauthorized payment activity, or payment processor warnings may result in account suspension, removal of items or currency, loss of VIP benefits, reversal of trades, negative balances, or account termination as permitted by law.

Users may not abuse refunds, payment disputes, promotions, discounts, errors, duplicate purchases, currency systems, or shop systems. We may correct pricing errors, delivery errors, duplicate grants, unintended item grants, exploit-based gains, or economy-impacting mistakes.

11. Subscriptions and VIP Renewals

If Rewind World offers VIP subscriptions or other recurring services, the subscription terms, price, renewal period, benefits, cancellation method, and billing details will be disclosed at or before purchase.

You authorize recurring charges for subscriptions you choose to start. You may cancel a subscription using the cancellation method provided by Rewind World or the applicable payment provider. Cancellation will stop future renewal charges, but it may not refund past charges unless required by law or stated at the time of purchase.

VIP benefits may change over time. If benefits materially change, we may provide notice through the website, dashboard, email, Discord, or another reasonable method.

12. Trading, Marketplace, and Economy Integrity

Rewind World may allow trading, selling, gifting, marketplace listings, or other player economy systems. These systems may be limited, delayed, disabled, tested, restricted, or removed at any time.

You may not use trades, marketplace systems, gifts, alternate accounts, payment disputes, exploits, bots, scams, stolen accounts, outside payments, or coordinated manipulation to harm the economy or other users.

We may reverse trades, freeze items, remove listings, restrict accounts, audit transactions, or correct balances if we believe activity involves fraud, account compromise, exploits, chargebacks, real-money trading outside official systems, market manipulation, or a technical error.

Trading value is determined by the community and by availability, demand, and other factors. Rewind World does not guarantee that any item will retain value, increase in value, remain tradable, or be desired by other players.

13. Moderation, Suspension, Termination, and Appeals

We may investigate reports, review activity, moderate content, restrict features, suspend accounts, terminate accounts, remove items, reverse transactions, or take other action if we believe it is necessary to protect users, the service, the economy, payment systems, staff, volunteers, intellectual property, or the community.

We are not required to provide every moderation detail, especially where doing so could affect privacy, safety, fraud prevention, exploit prevention, payment investigations, or enforcement systems.

We may provide an appeal or review process when practical, but we are not required to restore access, restore items, restore currency, or reverse enforcement decisions if we determine that the action was appropriate.

14. Third-Party Services

Rewind World may use or link to third-party services, including hosting providers, database providers, payment processors, analytics tools, email providers, Discord, moderation tools, security providers, and other vendors.

Third-party services are governed by their own terms and privacy policies. Rewind World is not responsible for third-party services, websites, products, content, outages, payment processing decisions, moderation decisions, or data practices.

If you interact with Rewind World through Discord or another third-party platform, your use of that platform is also subject to that platform's own terms and policies.

15. DMCA and Intellectual Property Complaints

If you believe content on Rewind World infringes your copyright or other intellectual property rights, contact us with enough information to identify the content, the rights allegedly infringed, your contact information, and a statement that you have a good-faith belief the use is unauthorized.

Copyright, DMCA, trademark, and other intellectual property notices may be sent to legal@rewindworld.com.

We may remove or restrict content in response to valid intellectual property complaints and may terminate repeat infringers where appropriate.

16. Privacy

Your use of Rewind World is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which explains how we collect, use, share, retain, and protect information.

By using Rewind World, you acknowledge that information may be processed as described in the Privacy Policy.

17. Disclaimers

Rewind World is provided on an as-is and as-available basis. We do not guarantee that the service will be uninterrupted, secure, error-free, compatible with every device, available in every region, free from data loss, or free from harmful components.

To the fullest extent allowed by law, we disclaim warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, quiet enjoyment, accuracy, availability, and any warranties arising from course of dealing, course of performance, or usage of trade.

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain disclaimers, so some disclaimers may not apply to you.

18. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent allowed by law, Nguyen's Games, Rewind World, and their owners, staff, contractors, volunteers, moderators, contributors, developers, service providers, and affiliates will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, including loss of data, account access, virtual currency, virtual items, virtual value, profits, goodwill, or business opportunities.

To the fullest extent allowed by law, our total liability for any claim related to Rewind World will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid to Rewind World in the six months before the claim arose or one hundred U.S. dollars.

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so some limitations may not apply to you.

19. Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Nguyen's Games, Rewind World, and their owners, staff, contractors, volunteers, moderators, contributors, developers, service providers, and affiliates from claims, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, and expenses arising from your use of the service, your content, your violation of these Terms, your violation of law, your infringement of rights, or your misuse of accounts, payments, trades, community features, or virtual economy systems.

20. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Washington, without regard to conflict of law rules, except where consumer protection laws require otherwise.

Before filing a formal claim, you agree to contact us at legal@rewindworld.com and give us a reasonable opportunity to resolve the dispute informally.

If a dispute cannot be resolved informally, the dispute will be handled in the state or federal courts located in Washington, unless applicable law requires a different venue.

Nothing in this section prevents either party from seeking relief in small claims court where available or from seeking urgent court relief for intellectual property misuse, account abuse, security incidents, fraud, or unauthorized access.

21. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If changes are material, we may provide notice through the website, dashboard, email, Discord, or another reasonable method.

The updated Terms will become effective when posted or on the date stated in the notice. Continued use of Rewind World after the updated Terms become effective means you accept the updated Terms.
